Since about a year on my main PC all the new Debian kernels (in 64 bit as well as in 32 bit) excepted 6.1.0-21 cause terrible disturbs making the place of the cursor extremly instable (consequence: you can not hit on a well definite point on the screen and not use some mouse or touch pad - this PC has all: touch pin in the middle or the keyboard, little touch tablett/pad under the keyboard, real touch screen and an external usb wacom tablett with wacom pencil and mouse! The both last are usual a lot slower but here, not...) or directly black screen at the firts start with no way to avoid that. This is the same on my precedent PC that I always have and do not use often again because it become warm after long use with intense usage of hart disk etc. (and goes after that into the Nirvana...). And I have a next very light PC with integrated SIM card place for journeys outside the house etc. All are from DELL and have a i7 and a lot (divers sizes) of RAM, are also good PCs although they are not new but really old (no USB3, you can see). More, I continue to use the old PC of my dead father in my sport studio. It is an old emachines with a poor AMD64 and 2 GB. Same problem!
And what do you do since this time?

Since this time, I search for solutions and did find one since November 2023 with Ubuntu Noble 2024: before November 23 I did try Ubuntu, which version, I can't remember, and have analog problems. But after October 2023, in Noble 2024.04 "in preparation" the problems were away![:D]( "Very Happy")

Since about one year I did not have some SID installation any more.
Last week I did try a live version from Debian Bookworm published by a French care organisation for poor people in Africa. And it did go good. It was a 32 bit version of bookworm (as I continue to use some time my old 32-bit-PCs based and Pentium and Celeron, so in my workshopm where all is dirty, with oil and grease etc. But I will not renonce there to use PCs! And I will not buy some one as I have old PCs![:idea:]( "Idea")

Those derivates of Debian (emmabuntüs, it is the organization, publishes since yearssssssss live versions of Debian for poor people, is also a real institution!) have today often the propriety to be installed not with the «Debian installer» but after start of the live CD stuff, with other installers like calamares installer oder refracta installer.
And using this alternative installer, I did the TERRIBLE error to mark the total IDIOTIC keyboard US BEPO INTL instead of the US INTL (US INTL is the real type stamped on my keyboard by the factory!). I can remember that I did make after the step a "return" and repeat the step
but
now
at boot time
- the PC has not US keyboard any more but US BEPO keyboard an require the password in US BEPO writing![:roll:]( "Rolling Eyes")
- and immediatelly after that use NOT ANY MORE the US BEPO keyboard any more but really the US INTL keyboad (what I really need!)...
I was never aware that it is possible to enter some different keyboard valide only at booting time but it is now the case on my PC.
How to erase the error?
In which script are those settings?
(it is important for me because of my collection of PC!!! As soon an installation is good, I make myself with a snapshot of my good DVD image an ISO file and port it to all the other PCs of my collection and that work usually well...)
