Hello all!

TL;DR - Cannot get laptop to use GPU on Debian 12

I recently decided to transition to Debian full time as i've always preferred it over Windows. Currently dual booting on a second SSD for the transition as i can do everything i need without using Windows - i don't game or anything.
I have an XPS 15 with a NVIDIA 3050ti which has worked fine for me. The only time the GPU is used is to run hashcat from time to time. This works fine for me in Windows but i'm having mega issues in Debian (although oddly just CPU performance differs massively, Debian shows around 470 MH/s just on CPU vs 3470MH/s running in windows).

lspci shows my GPU but clinfo does not even with relevant opencl packages installed from apt it only shows my CPU.
I have followed guidance on debian (https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsD ... cat-nvidia) and tried installing drivers from the apt repo as well as from NVIDIA directly. I even resorted to youtube to see if i had made any simple errors but nothing appears to work.

If anybody has experienced something similar i'd appreciate you reaching out.
