I'm currently installing Debian 12 on 6 different AMD64 machines 10 years old and older. Other then documented problems everything went fine, but one of my programs won't work on Kernel 6.*. I installed Debian 12 with Kernel 5.* on one machine and have it working using an old Ghostscript version. As this is to keep one program functional I was wondering if I can install Kernel 6.* for main boot when that program is not needed or would that break what I have done? I'm new to linux and am not sure how much I can change things up.
