Ok, I'm dumb. I did a new load of bullseye and brought it up the first time on my desk with a wide monitor. When put in it's place, it has a 4:3 monitor. and I cannot get the login screen or the desktop to go to 1024x768. Is there a way to change the global resolution to 1024x768? Ok not so
dumb. Tried imaging on my desktop and first boot with 4:3 monitor, then imaging on a system with that monitor (pi-imager) Pi-os 64 bit Debian Bullseye) and it is still off the edges of the monitor, whether in x windows or console. What the??? Never had this problem before and settings only shows 640x480 in x windows and no other modes showing. Text console, the left edge is off the monitor. Must be a global setting somewhere to fix this?
