Reasonably new to Debian/Linux, but have a lifetime of IT support.
I just updated an older Debian 10 system to Debian 11.
All seemed to go smoothly, but then I came to try to logon.
Trying to log on to "gnome" (IE Wayland). The system takes the password, clears the window (screen goes briefly black), then throws me right back to the logon screen.
Logging on at the command line, or using "gnome on Xorg" logs me on successfully.
Happy for any suggestions to return the system to full functionality.
NB: Will upgrade to 12 fairly shortly too, but would rather be sure I have a fully working 11 system before going further.
