Hardware • [Software] Power off external SSD on shutdown

Hello,
I have Debian installed on an external SSD (connected via USB).

Is there any way to power off the SSD right before shutting down the system?
I ask because currently when I shut down the system the POR Recovery attribute in S.M.A.R.T is increased.
