Been trying to load any linux onto my machine for a couple weeks now because I have new machine and can't risk lockout from win11 nonsense.

New machine with asrock b650E PG WIFI riptide mb, 1tb m2 ssd from wd, 8tb barracuda, amd 8400f CPU, XFX rx6600 AMD gpu.

Debian is the first one that would actually install, but then when it boots I get a terminal with errors and it hangs. Installed the advanced hardware support version

Not exact because I had to write it by hand

hub 6-0:1.0 config failed hub doesn't have any ports!
amdgpu/gc_11_0_1_mez_z.bin (-z) firmware_class: see wiki.debian.org for information about missing firmware

amdgpu-0000:78:00.0 amdgpu:SMU I'm not done with your previous command SMN_C2PMSG_60:0x00000016 SMN_C2PM5G-86:0x00000001

If I try the recovery' option then I get a bunch of stuff and the last one is 'loading necessary drivers' and then it hangs

The CPU does NOT support integrated graphics but the MB does. Could this be causing issues? Isn't amdgpu for the integrated chip? Shouldn't it use radeon instead?
