Graphical Environments & Desktops • Trouble with NEO on Debian 12 using Intel Iris 5100 GPU

Hi,

I recently installed Debian 12 on my Mac Mini 7,1. This Mini came with an i5-4278U which has an Intel Iris 5100 integrated GPU, which should support OpenCL 1.2.

Code:

zboll@debianmini:~$ inxi -GxxxzGraphics: Device-1: Intel Haswell-ULT Integrated Graphics vendor: Apple driver: i915 v: kernel arch: Gen-7.5 ports: active: DP-2 empty: DP-1,HDMI-A-1,HDMI-A-2 bus-ID: 00:02.0 chip-ID: 8086:0a2e class-ID: 0300 Display: wayland server: X.org v: 1.21.1.7 with: Xwayland v: 22.1.9 compositor: gnome-shell v: 43.9 driver: gpu: i915 display-ID: 0 Monitor-1: DP-2 model: SM40UNP serial: <filter> res: 3840x2160 dpi: 138 size: 708x398mm (27.87x15.67") diag: 812mm (32") modes: max: 3840x2160 min: 720x400 API: OpenGL v: 4.6 Mesa 22.3.6 renderer: Mesa Intel Iris Graphics 5100 (HSW GT3) direct-render: Yes
I went ahead and installed the intel compute-runtime (intel-opencl-icd) and clinfo. Unfortunately I am not seeing the Intel GPU platform with clinfo, does anyone know what I may be doing wrong? For now, I am using pocl-opencl-icd, but I would love to have GPU acceleration.

Thanks,
Zack
