Hello friends. I am very new to Linux.. only 3-4 months experience. So I know very very little but trying to learn. First, I should tell that I am not a programmer or a distro-hopper. I am a user. I just want to use Linux instead of Windows, for my work and daily use purposes and I want to modify files or use commands only that much which are absolutely required, not more than that. If I had another PC, I might do some experiments.
Now, I first used Fedora and it installed smoothly without any error. The first experience is very nice. But the problem in Fedora is it is giving regular system update which sometimes is messing with my other programmes' settings which is very problematic for a newbie user like me. It hampers my workflow which ultimately affects my earning. So, in another forum, they suggested me to try Debian as it is the father of all Linux distros. But when I tried Debian 12 Live ISO just to test, it could not access the USB 2 ports and gave me 'Device descriptor error'. I tried by enabling 'iommu, but it disabled the USB 3 ports when using Debian 12 live ISO though it could access the USB 2 ports. I tried using 'iommu=soft' but of no use. The problem remains. Can you friends help me to solve this problem? Will I not be able to use Debian?
