As shown in the attached screenshot, Sid has moved to the 6.6.8 kernal:
However, gnome still stays at version 44, most likely because some of the more popular gnome extensions have not caught up with the upgrade to version 45. Compared to Ubuntu and Fedora, this is a very responsible attitude! (of course only my personal humble opinion)
