Problem: install debian on new HP laptop to dual boot with installed windows on secure book drive
So, I downloaded a fresh debian iso and copied it over to my USB stick tried to boot my lovely new HP laptop and install debian on space I have made on the secure boot drive.
What happens: I get an error: "Selected image did not authenticate"
I can turn off secure boot in the UEFI BIOS and I can boot and install debian fine ... but then I cannot boot into windows.
I have searched around and found references to "shimxd64.efi", but this is nowhere to be found on any debian AMD64 ISO install media! I can only find "bootx64.efi" and "grubx64.efi", and neither of these will boot when BIOS secure boot is enabled.
How can I get a debian install iso with shimx64.efi?
Or, should I be doing something else to get the grubx64.efi to boot on the secure boot system?
