Beginners Questions • [Installation] Need help making USB bootable

I am following the manual guide for installation of clonezilla live, and in step 5 there is something unclear to me:
To make your USB flash drive bootable, first change the working dir, e.g. "cd /media/usb/utils/linux"
Why do you need to change the directory? Why is this just an example? My system does not have a subdirectory `/usb` (bookworm version without any modifications), but the mounted disk I'm trying to format lives inside /media/user/.

I don't understand why the directory change is needed to execute the next shell command. My directory structure is kind of different, and the warning there suggests caution. Please let me know how to proceed in this last step.
