Hi everyone,
I’m trying to set up HIP for Blender on Debian. Here’s my current setup:
GPU: RX 7900 XTX (RDNA2 series)
Blender Version: Latest release downloaded directly from Blender.org
I’ve been trying to install ROCm to enable HIP, but I’ve run into some issues:
I don't know what package I need to install to get this to work and the official ROCm repository isn’t signed, and adding it without verification feels risky.
I’ve seen some mentions online about people manually installing ROCm on Debian or using alternative methods to get HIP working with Blender, but I haven’t found a clear guide.
Could anyone here share their experiences on how to enable HIP for Blender on Debian? Alternatively, are there any workarounds or tools that might help simplify the process?
Thanks in advance for any help or pointers!
