General Questions • [Software] Some questions about schroot usability

1. When I sign something with gbp in the host system the terminal brings up a dialog with a password field (I use XFCE). When I do this in a chroot it complains about invalid ioctl for device. I set up pinentry to loopback and while this works it seems to swallow up any further stdout until gbp finishes. In the best of worlds the chroot would bring up a dialog like the host system. Is there a way to do this?

2. Do I always have to be root to access a chroot's source: namespace? Despite being listed as a root user in the chroot I get a big scary message about failure being reported if I try to access the source without root access. E: nvm this one. I am dumb and somehow completely missed the source-root-users field right there in the schroot.conf examples

3. Does the preserve-environment setting override the root users? Even though I am listed as a root user in schroot.conf I can't do the usual sudo things without sudo.
