Installation • Why is Debian 12.8 taking up more than 95 GiB of space?

I installed Debian 12.8 today with KDE on my desktop machine (Gigabyte 97 series MB, AMD fx8350, 32 GB RAM, nVidia RTx2070, multiple storage devices), and after installation it seemed okay (except for a my-error transferring my old /home to the new partition, now being corrected). After installing the nVidia 535 driver package, however, I find Debian is reporting 0 B free, taking up more than 95 GiB in the 100 GB partition I gave it (sized by guess, given that Kubuntu 22.04 with several snap and flatpak packages installed has been squeaking through in 50 GB).

Surely the nVidia driver isn't 60-80 GB in size? On this laptop (Thinkpad T430) I have Debian 12.8 KDE installed in 50 GB and there's 38+ GB free.
