I am trying to install Debian Stable (Bookworm) on an i386 Dell Latitude E6430 laptop. After an unproblematic installation from debian-12.9.0-i386-netinst.iso, I removed USB disc and rebooted. GRUB did its thing and the boot started. On trying to go into graphical, the screen goes black with a flashing cursor and that's it. This very similar to viewtopic.php?p=785410#p785410
By adding 3 at the end of linux line in GRUB, I can successfully get in.
The graphic driver info:
I suspect this may be a Wayland problem, but have no clue on how to enforce X11. Guidance would be appreciated and I am more than happy to provide any other info that would be useful.
