General Questions • apt / update-initramfs / running kernel question - deb12

the system booted using the previous version of the kernel. During the apt install of open-iscsi it does not update the initramfs of the running kernel, just the latest one - my guess is, that's an expected behavior(?)
can it be configured to update the running kernel's initramfs as well? Thanks!
