Hi All,
New here.
Have an issue with installing Debian 12 on my old Dell E6420. The Dell has the UEFI option in the Bios and I have it selected. But, I'm sure it's a buggy one. I'm able to install Debian successfully (UEFI) as per the installer. But, then I get the No Boot Device found message when trying to boot. I've searched a lot on the topic and I have a feeling that installing grub to the removable loader would solve my issue. But, I am not getting that option in the expert mode installation as I've seen for older versions of Debian.
Installing Legacy Bios works fine. But, I would like UEFI to work.
1. Has the option to install GRUB to the removable path been removed from the latest Debian installer (expert mode)?
and
2. Does anyone have a comprehensive explanation (step by step) of how to accomplish this? I tried one rescue mode method that I saw online. But, the steps werent working for me.
Thanks in advance,
Steve
