Hi,

I recently installed debian 12 bookworm on a Toshiba Satellite L870-18v [Intel Core i3, 500 MB HDD, 8 GB RAM] laptop. The installation progressed without error or warning. However, when I try to use Discover to update the software, the package generates the following :-

E: The repository 'cdrom://[Debian GNU/Linux 12.1.0 _Bookworm_ - Official amd64 DVD Binary-1 with firmware 20230722-10:49] bookworm Release' does not have a Release file.
W: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
W: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.
E: cdrom://[Debian GNU/Linux 12.1.0 _Bookworm_ - Official amd64 DVD Binary-1 with firmware 20230722-10:49] bookworm Release is not (yet) available (Please use apt-cdrom to make this CD-ROM recognized by APT. apt-get update cannot be used to add new CD-ROMs)

I vaguely remember that there is a file that needs to be edited but cannot remember which one, nor exactly what should be changed. Could someone please point me in the right direction ?

Stuart
