My system is running Debian Trixie with an AMD GPU and every time I have Xorg with bspwm, etc set up. My system crashes at some point during the process.
Even when the installation seems to complete successfully, my system often freezes at the login screen. If I manage to get past the login screen, it usually means it won’t crash at that point. However, if I switch to a different TTY and start Xorg with any program using startx, the system crashes again.
I’ve checked Xorg.0.log, journalctl, and dmesg, but none of them seem to show any related critical errors. I’m not sure what’s causing these crashes. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this?
Thanks for your help!
